Poor Temp control door is poorly designed

Submitted by notpleased - It does not run true to the temperature you set it at. It runs about 20 degrees hotter. Makes a lot of noise blowing air out the front. If you let the door go it will slam shut rattling the whole kitchen. Very poor quality compared to the Frigidaire it replaced.

I do a lot of baking and in the past have always used a convection oven. This oven heats true to the temperature gauge and the heat is evenly distributed throughout the oven. My baked goods come out perfectly. I couldnt be more pleased.

Some issues

Submitted by wwhite44 - We moved into our new house December 12th 2016. A couple issues we have with the oven: 1 It takes it 17 minutes to preheat to 450 degrees. Much longer than we are used to. You sent out a service man to check it and he said everything is ok . . . thats just the way it is. And 2 it continues to blow out hot air even after it has been turned off. Summer is not here yet but I see this as really heating up the kitchen.

Submitted by Dallas - Aside from how gorgeous it is it is super functional. I love being able to set the temperature and timer for what Im cooking. It doesnt take too long to warm to the correct temperature. The one thing Ill say thats not necessarily a negative is that it cooks faster than we anticipated. The first few items were overcooked. So we couldnt always go by a foods recommended cok time. We adjusted our cook times and the food comes out perfect.

Melts foil but cooks fast.

Submitted by marksalot - I did not notice the Do Not Use Foil sign on the door of my oven. I covered the bottom of the oven with foil to catch any drips from above as I used to do with my non-convection oven. Needless to say the foil melted into the metal at the bottom of the oven. Totally my fault. A feature about my new convection oven I do not like is the hot air it blows into the kitchen with food smells. I do like its ability to cook in faster than non-convection ovens.

We have been there a year now and use the oven at least several times each week - a little less in the summer months. Works great. Does all the things an oven needs to do and is very reliable. We have not had any problems. The oven preheats at a normal rate not quickly not slowly. The oven has its own timer but I find it a little cumbersome to use so I keep time with the microwave instead. The cancel button which turns off the oven does not also turn off the oven light - thats my only suggestion for improvement.

Approximately 20 minutes to get to 350. All the the while a fan is running. Its quiet but audible and annoying. After turning the oven off the fan continues to run for an additional 20-30 minutes. Im hoping its because its new but I have a difficult time sliding the racks in and out. They have a convenient handle but they seem to stick. Which was not good for my breads that I baked. As rack jerked my breads fell. Maybe a little WD40 can fix it? Pluses: installation was easy its appearance is pleasant and the price was right

I prefer the controls on the convection the panel on this model is less sophisticated you need to press and hold buttons to scroll through temperatures and times rather than just punching in the number. Otherwise this is a really reliable and efficient oven. It preheats fairly quickly too.

New Wall Oven

Submitted by Lucas - this came with the very expensive appliance package we paid extra for when building a new home. We are very dissatisfied with this product. Yes it cooks the food. But it is noisy. I can hear it on the other side of our 3000 Sq. ft. house. It takes forever to heat up and with a hungry 2 year old it has caused much inconvenience for us. This is also concerning because this is 30-40 minutes of power being used which took our old oven 5-10 minutes. Not very energy efficient if you ask me. Lastly it blows hot air into our kitchen while preheating cooking and cooling down. We live in Texas and it is hot enough as it is. I am considering replacing this appliance which is only 4 months old. This will be out of my pocket after I have already paid for this with the building of our house. I would strongly recommend you reevaluate this product.

The only thing I would like to see is the temp as it is preheating. If you set it to heat on 450 then all you see is 450 until it is heated. Submitted by Celdry - This oven came with our new house and its just fine. We had to re-calibrate it at first because it came from the factory 30 degrees under temp which is a lot in my opinion. After contacting fridgidaire they helped us re-calibrate it. The oven takes a long time about 30 minutes to get to temperature so youll need to figure that into cook time. Sometimes I just put the food in before it gets up to temp. anyway. Also the oven fan vent blows warm air into the kitchen when its on and cooling down which I dont really care for since it seems like the kitchen can get hot enough esp. in the summer months. The oven looks really nice and cooks the food Thats what its supposed to do.
