We recieved our new Profile Range after 3 months of going without a fully operational range. Overwhelming smell

Submitted by Peter2U - This GE stove replaced a different brand we'd had for only one year. It possessed the features we had originally desired in the other stove - especially that it had the "self cleaning" feature the other didn't have. The other only had "steam clean" and I find that limitation to be impractical to the point of uselessness. That it doesn't have any knobs to get in the way of cleaning up is a big plus.

Great stove

Submitted by Amber Nicole - I bought this range mainly for the flat cooktop with different sized eyes and the double oven. I don't have many occasions where I use both ovens simultaneously but thought it would be a good feature when it I do need it. Also, it keeps from having to warm the entire large oven every time it cook. I've been using the oven for 3 months now and everything had worked great this far. The eyes don't keep things simmering a lot of the times when I think it is turned up high enough to do so, but that is just part of learning a new stove. The cooktop does seem to show streaks and marks from things set upon it more than other flattops I've used but it could just be because it is black stainless. Overall I love the stove. When ordering, I also liked the option to create the bridge on the left side for a griddle but haven't used that feature yet.

Submitted by E Baker - This is a great oven. The top oven heats up and cooks really fast even as a conventional oven. Great for reheating food or frozen foods. The bottom oven is a decent size even for a turkey. The touch pad controls look slick, are functionally intuitive, and very responsive to the touch. I have only had this for just over a month so I am not able to talk about the durability but so far so good. The stove top is great too. I like the multiple size options which helps reduce excess heat being wasted. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend this especially for those who do a lot of cooking/baking and have run into a situation where you need different temperatures at the same time.

Two ovens, one timer

I've owned it less than 24 hours and while this review is not inclusive and I hope to be able to addon after several uses, a major oversight in design was noticed right off the bat. ONE TIMER ONLY! Two ovens deserve two timers which the Maytag design had. I'm really going to miss that feature.

Double Oven with Touchy Buttons

We have mostly used just the smaller oven (the reason we bought this model) so far but with Christmas coming up will put both ovens to use then. CONCERNS: 1. I have to push the button on the front left eye 5-6 times to get it to come on. I keep thinking I will get used to it but this morning it was 6 tries again before it came on. Maybe I should have stayed with knobs but was not available in higher end product, I think. 2. There are open vents in the door that will allowed dropped food to lodge inside the door that will be very difficult to clean. A neighbor once paid over $100 to take her door apart and clean it. I really like the glass top going all the way to the edge...looks nice.
