I love this appliance. Super easy to use. The oven heats up quickly and cooks evenly. The microwave wattage (1000) was also a selling point. Many of the combo units are lower.

Unit is a nice update for us and looks great. Unfortunately, it was partially DOA (dead on arrival) as the oven didn't work. GE service came out promptly the next day but determined a new circuit board was needed and it will take us another 5 days before it arrives so we can get the repair completed.

I am replacing an eleven year old GE built in oven/microwave. The last one had many issues with the microwave. I finally replaced the whole unit when the oven stopped working. This new one is smarter looking, with stainless steel interiors and neat easy controls. It is a pleasure to use.

We did not want a Smart Appliance with access to the advantages of internet communications ... and internet complications to include malicious intervention and increased WiFi traffic on the 2.4GHz band. GE was the only brand in our price range free from internet interference. So far, all functions operate as advertised.
THE OVEN DOES BAKE HOTTER. (educated guess 20 degrees) Recipe's set for specific degrees have to be set back 20 degrees or we end up with burnt results. It could be due to us using glass vessels and Corningware, not metal as suggested in the directions for baking. We have not changed our vessels, we calabrated the oven 20 degrees lower today and will test the results . . . Banana Nut Bread tomorrow.
AUDIBLE TONES ARE INAUDIBLE FOR THE ELDERLY. Only two settings, Mute & Normal. It needs a LOUD setting, or a human-like voice, example: 'Timer is off; Cooking Complete.' We have a 40-year old talking clock, so it is not unhead of.
CONTROL PANEL SELECTIONS ARE NOT READABLE IN LOW AMBIENT LIGHT. They should be backlit. We have to turn on the kitchen overhead lights to use.
The GEJK3800D is a solid product. I would buy it again knowing the faults.

This unit JK3800DHBB was just installed today 4/14/2020, by the GE reseller for our area. We have an home insurance company American Home Shield, who replaced our old 20 year old wall oven/microwave combo, because it could not be repaired. Tried reopening the service case with AHS, we'll see what happens. Certainly the unit is in warranty, I registered it online today and it is ... less than a day old!

Had to replace my microwave/oven combo after 30 years and had few choices available. This microwave door opens down like an oven door and since it's above the oven, it's very difficult to put items in and out of microwave and I cannot reach the back of the microwave to clean up any spills. Had to get the two step ladder in order to reach. Takes the oven 10-15 minutes to pre-heat, which is much longer than old one.

I have had my wall oven/microwave combo for close to a month now and love it! we replaced an older microwave/oven GE and the measurements were spot on. Easy installation. could not be happier. we were hesitant at fist as to how much we would like the microwave with an "oven style" door, but I actually like it better than usual microwave style. also a plus for it looking like a double oven.

I replace my old GE, the microwave had rusted out. My cabinet opening was small as the house was built in 1984. This fit in perfectly and did not require me to modify my cabinets.

This micowave/oven was a replacement on a Home Warranty program.
The unit takes forever for the oven to reach the preset tempreature. The microwave is rated at 1000 watts , yet all product labeling states microwave instruction are based on a 1200 watt oven...this replacement unit cannot compare to the specs or performance of our Kenmore unitit has replaced.

Recently replaced our wall oven/microwave combo of the same brand/design. We are thoroughly enjoying the update and sleek features. This is the only oven that fit into the cutout we have in a brick wall and hope the size will continue to be manufactured.The pull down microwave door is a bit more difficult to clean for a person of short stature, but the appliance works and looks great.

We replaced an old 26" GE wall oven with a new one but it's 27" wide which requires a modification of our kitchen cabinet. It's a lot of work to find a carpenter who would do a small job fortunately GE provides a rebate for the cost of modification, that helps a little but the work involved could have been easily avoided if GE makes the new ovens with the same dimensions of their old models. The new oven works well and better than the old one so we are happy with it. However, one small drawback is the microwave opens downward instead of sideway, for users of < 5' in height would need a "booster chair" in order to reach far enough into the oven to clean it.

Combination microwave/oven: Just had this appliance installed to replace broken unit from another manufacturer. Great-looking appliance, inside and out. Am hoping the selector button will last as it's used each and every time. The tape on the glass front was a pain to remove - had to use Goo Be Gone! (Reason for 4 stars, not 5). One of the sides of the bottom face plate was bent and is not flush witth the cabinet. Good instruction manual. Am hoping to get many years of service from both the microwave and oven.

This is a replacement for my 25 year old GE combination microwave/oven unit. Although its expensive, this new set is amazingly big. You can actually cook a full sized turkey and use a large sheet cake pan or cookie sheet. This unit cooks so efficiently and I love the controls!

Very nice, attractive unit with many features. We had a space limitation and this unit fit perfectly. There are more features on this unit than our old one, which is nice in some ways and problematic (mildly) in other ways. The selection for microwave times are pre-set, either in 15 sec. or 30 and it is not clear if and how you can change that. There is the option to then again choose a "resume", which then brings up about 6 seconds more and you can repeat that if necessary. Seems like a lot of extra fiddle. The oven has a steam clean which apparently is to be used more than the self clean because of where the electronics are. I liked my older model, where there was no issue of cleaning and it left the ash you just wiped up. I have not yet used the steam clean, so I do not know how thorough it works. It's an adjustment but otherwise I'm very happy with the unit. I like the microwave door opening like an oven. It seems sturdier than the old one. Since I'm shorter it is a little difficult to reach in and clean, but there is always a step stool to stand on! Very nice unit and I think any one would find it attractive and functional. I am just hoping all the new "whistles and bells" aren't more to go wrong. But that is also why we purchased the extended protection plan.

We had a GE microwave oven combo that lasted 19 years, we replaced it with this unit. The unit is very nice, stainless microwave will be easy to clean up and the oven is very quiet. I think the the finish look and design of the unit looks great too. The oven seems to heat up a little slower compared to our old unit, but it is really not noticeable.

The oven inside is large with a big viewing window so you can see easily see what you are cooking. The racks appear to be coated with the same thing as inside the oven making them easy to clean. The microwave is big inside and stainless steel making it easy to clean. I like the ease in positioning the glass plate in the microwave. My old microwave was a little harder to lineup the glass plate.

Our oven/microwave was almost 30 years old, we'd be using it for 20! So the thought of having to learn how to use a new one with all the digital settings was not exciting for me. But since the microwave in the old one died, didn't have a choice. This one is much better than I imagined. After reading through the manual it is easy to understand and use. I love it. One of the main complaints I read about this beforehand was the way the microwave door opened (downward). I was a little concerned about that but turned out for me to not be a problem at all. I definitely give it very high marks and we are very happy with it.
