I got this food processor because I needed a larger capacity than my existing product had. Overall, I am satisfied with this product. It is not too hard to assemble or break down each time, and generally it is easy enough to clean. I am not giving it 5 stars simply because I didn't see anything about it that put it above other models. In short, I would recommend it if you have average food processing needs.

This appliance makes a great kitchen helper and saves a lot of time preparing healthy meals. Slicing and shredding happens quickly with uniform results. Perfect for stir frying. Easy to clean. I received a GE® 12-Cup Food Processor from Tryit Sampling. I really didn't know what I was missing. I used a knife for all my chopping needs. This is so easy to use and set up. A small footprint for the counter top. Easy to use and set up. The motor is very strong and fast to use.

I studied many brands of food processor and decided for the GE model because of its This food processor has a nice large 12-cup capacity. It is attractive on the counter top, but also functional and super easy to use. It chops and slices, chops vegetables super fast, grates cheese, and works great for doughs! Construction feels durable, but it is also lightweight and easy to clean. Lots of accessory options.

The lid clicks into place without any trouble. Putting it all together is as simple as could be! First, the product is impressive. It's very solid. Everything fits tight. The bowl and lid are made of heavy gauge materials. The slicing/grating discs are easy to handle and store in their own handy case. In fact, all the parts are made to be stored in one compact package. Incredible.
I use this product several times a week. It has plenty of power. It has already been put to good use in my home kitchen! Today alone I diced mushrooms & onions, shredded cheese, and sliced strawberries, apples, & tomatoes. They were all done beautifully without damaging the food in the process. This gave perfectly shredded cheese, beautifully sliced fruits & vegetables, and the mushrooms & onions were diced just right for my homemade "cream of soup". I am surprised at the speed at which it processes and still has smooth clean cuts without mashing the food. It is also very quiet!
I'm looking forward to many hours of superior and easy food preparation with this wonderful and high quality kitchen device.

I am loving the GE food processor. It has tons of power & the 12 cup capacity is huge. It is smooth & simple to use. It is much quieter than my old food processor. All the blade options are great. My only concern is there is no seal on the lid. Although this has not caused an issue yet.

I've been impressed by the power of the food processor and love how simple it is to control. The dial makes the control super simple depending on what I'm chopping. The other really nice aspect to the processor is clean-up. Sometimes using an appliance is a pain because of clean-up but the parts are easy to take down and clean. I have found it simple to use when needed.

This is my first food processor. I have maybe 5 solid recipes that I can make and not mess up...... and I'm in my late 30's. Don't judge. I was happy to get this to try to expand my menu and add a bit of diversity to my dinners. This processor worked quite well. The suction cups help keep in in place, it blended well, and my dinner wasn't terrible! I cant wait to try new recipes and see what else I can do with this!

I got this last week and I love it! I wanted to see how it worked with making homemade noodles! This makes life so much easier now! The mixing use to hurt my hands! This thing is great there are so many different things I can do with it! Slicing potatoes now is a breeze also! So many different things I can do with this! I also made salsa with it! Locking lid is great also, don't have to worry about stuff flying everywhere now! And it's a really nice big size bowl 12 cups which gives me plenty of room to add more when I'm making dips too!

I've owned 3 food processors before & this one is the best by far. It has many different functions & it's simple to use. Has low, high, & pulse speeds. Easy to clean and dish washer safe. The base has rubber feet so it doesn't slide on me while I'm running it. This processor will knead dough, slice, chop, puree, grate, shred, & French fry cut.
I would recommend getting the accessories kit along with this food processor to maximize all of it's capabilities. A great safety feature is that this processor will automatically shut off to prevent it from overeating. Love this food processor.

This food processor is fantastic! What a heavy duty and durable food processor! This thing holds so much and is amazing quality.
I love the look of this processor as it is so sleek. It is so sturdy. I like the grips on the bottom of the processor to ensure it doesn't move all over the counter while in use. This was incredibly helpful.
This food processor is relatively quiet. It has a very low hum as opposed to an obnoxious loud sound. The only time it gets a bit louder is once all of the food has been chopped up. I learned this while making salsa and not realizing everything was chopped. It made this louder sound which I then realized meant there was nothing left to chop. User error. Nor machine error.
I do wish the instructions were a bit more thorough. For someone that has never used a food processor before, the directions might be a bit sparse.
I love the feeding tubes that come with these processors. The large feeding tube actually eliminates you having to chop up larger ingredients! Major bonus! I also like the cord storage. This will help keep the counter free of clutter. The other thing I appreciated was how easy this was to clean. It's the little things that make a major difference!
I like the different blades that it came with. This adds to the many things this processor can do. The slicing disc is an absolute game changer and saves me so much time
High quality, durable product. Highly recommended! It has held up very well!

The GE 12 cup food processor is my new favorite appliance! It has a large bowl compared to other processors and comes with a chopper attachment and 2 blades for fine or coarse processing. The processor makes chopping vegetables a breeze and is powerful enough to grind nuts Everything is easy to assemble, take apart, and clean. We've been really wanting to make fresh salsas for some time now, but the amount of chopping and dicing involved usually gave us pause - enter this little beauty and now we've got fresh salsa for *days*, usually within minutes of pulling all of the ingredients out of the fridge. The user friendliness of this thing is top notch, as everything just fits without any hassle, and everything works exactly as you imagine it should. The only thing that threw us off on our first use was that it wouldn't turn on right away, but we figured out real quick that this was simply a safety mechanic as the bowl wasn't fully locked in to the base, so it wouldn't start without that solid lock in place. The only real drawback (which it shares with all other food processors on the planet) is that you have to be *real* careful handling and cleaing the blades afterwards as they are very, very sharp (speaking from experience - ouch!)

This food processor is awesome! I had an old food processor that would send ingredients flying out when the lid was on, but this one doesn't do that. Everything stays in place and gets mixed evenly. I also like the size of this one. It can hold quite a bit, and it mixes things quickly.

Our mini food processor stopped working so we decided to upgrade and got this GE 12-Cup Food Processor which is humongous compared to our mini one.
Out of the box, the machine is nicely made. Stainless steel at the bottom and plastic at the top which I read is much better because the powerful motor could break the jar if it was made with glass.
The 12-cup capacity is so nice as we no longer have to do multiple batch when we grind meat.
The machine also comes with a tube feed and accessories such as a slicing disk which is very convenient.
When it comes to performance, the performance of the motor of this full size processor is night and day compared to our mini one. It is so much faster thanks to the 550-Watt motor.
As for cleaning, it was very easy as the blades and container are both quite big so it was easy to wash and rinse.
All in all, this is an excellent food processor, we can never go back to a smaller size one and will give this beast a perfect 5 stars rating.

Replacing an older model that's over 25 years old. This GE 12 cup food processor is strong enough to handle everything I need to process. Very easy to clean and stores away easily in our cabinet. Plus I like the way it grips onto our countertop and does not move. I purchased it with an employee discount from HII and glad I did as I'm now retired cooking for my wife and I as she's working as a front line nurse.

Capacity is perfect. Style simple. Chops and blends well. Lousy at shredding baby carrots. (Many large chunks get around the shredding blade and make it into the container.) Wish there was blade protector for storage, to prevent injury. I don't really know whether that is a feature found with any other food processors.

I haven't used it enough to rate every feature but it's very easy to put together and use for basic chopping. There's no big clunky chute on top that just gets in the way like some others. It's very light weight which makes it easy to handle and clean. I'm just hoping it will hold up to heavy mixing and chopping because it is a light weight material. That's why I didn't give 5 stars right now. If it can handle the heavier usage I will absolutely love it!

I had my last GE food processor for 20 years. I loved it but the mixing blade broke so I purchased a new food processor. But it took a lot longer to mix because the blade doesn't work as efficiently as my last one did.

Even though it has a larger capacity than my previous food processor, I can't fill it as full. It is not thorough and the blades seem too small and spaced too far apart. I can't get as smooth a consistency, either. It's louder and takes longer. The old one lasted 10 years and came with all kinds of useful accessories. This one didn't even come with a scraper that was designed to work with it. I have to use the old one. All-in-all, I doubt I will have this for 10 years.

My last food processor came apart while I was shredding cheese leaving plastic pieces in the cheese. This food processor is great and comes with a fine and medium blade which allows you to slice or shred two different sizes. So far I love it!

This is one of the new line of small appliances introduced since GE Appliances became part or Haier.
It has a rather large bowl compared to other food processors we used before.
The bowl is sealed, with only a small attachments port on the center. It does not have the large column in the center like many other food processors, making it easier to clean and no spills.
The base is even wider than the bowl. The bowl has a lip on its base that covers where it meets the base, to cover potential spills.
Instead of rubber feet, it has four small suction cups, so the base that although is large but lightweight, stays firmly put in place.
There is a single knob with pulse mode to the left and two speeds to the right. That's it. Doesn't get simpler than this.
It comes with a chopping blade, which is very sharp, and two slicing disks.
The slicing disks are all metal, with a slicing blade on one side, and flipping it has two sections of shredding cutouts. One disk is for thin slices/shredding and the other for medium. The disks are about 1 inch or so shorter than the bowl.
The motor, although light, is rated for 550W, which is plenty.
It seems well built with a pleasing stainless steel cladding on the base.
Also I like that the piece that pushes the food through the slicer/shredder has two parts inside one another; so for example, leaving the wider part in as a cover it can be feed a carrot through the smaller opening slicing it straight.
It's easy to clean and very simple to use. We're happy with this appliance.

First, there are no instructions for use. There is no explanation as to what the differences are between the two disks. It does not explain how to assemble the attachments.
Second, still having a post in the middle makes it difficult to scrape clean.
Third, having a larger bowl does not allow for larger quantities to be chopped evenly the way it should, you need to still do multiple small batches.
Fourth, the food opening is not large enough even for a whole potato let alone anything bigger to slice. Although it does have a smaller whole for smaller items, that hole too is not of much benefit and often just gets in the way.

I spent 2 hours researching food processors. I wanted a good quality product but did not want to spend more than $150-$200 because I am not a baking guru or someone who cooks all the time. However, when I do, I want a qualify product that will last. I researched mostly Quisinart products, but found a lot of inconsistencies in the reviews. I eventually found this GE model and was pleasantly surprised with the overall higher quality reviews and very few problems. I was super excited to receive it and I have not yet been disappointed! This model is the perfect size for most recipes. It works well and provides me with all the options I may need for a variety of foods. There are suction cups on the bottom feet, to keep it stable and it feels of good quality (not cheap). I would highly recommend this product. It has a good warranty (be sure to register it) and it's a solid product. The only small issue I have is that it' s a little challenging to figure out exactly how the top goes on (it has to be placed exactly in one spot to spin/fit properly). But once you get it, you're good. I've only used it about 5 times so far, but it's worked flawlessly every time.
