It has performed perfect so far but it takes up too much space in the room. 30 some inches from the wall is not very good, there should be one 90 deg. elbow to bring it closer to the wall or have the cold supply come out the top of the unit. Also the connection to the window outlet is very flimsy and the tabs that hold the hose are not holding up the weight of the hose and have fallen off a few times. Bad Engineering. Please reply....

I have not had this unit very long, but it seems pretty good. It is still wintertime here, so right now I am only using the heat part. My normal heat is baseboard electric. This unit heats the room in half the time. I used to have a different brand of portable heat pump and this Frigidaire is quieter. If it proves to be reliable, I will be very happy.

PROS: I use the Frigidaire - 3-in-1 Heat/Cool Portable Room Air Conditioner 14,000 in a large bedroom that is at the end of my HVAC system, so this room was always the hottest in the house. Now it's the coolest as this Frigidaire portable keeps the space very comfortable. It stays at around 76 degrees 24/7 for the last 5 days and very impressed so far. This unit did come with everything you need to install, sort of (keep reading). CONNS: It does not have Wi-Fi, phone app, nor Alexa capability like most other portables today have?!? When it turns on it dims the lights as the compressor kicks on, and there are some odd sounds coming from the lower unit when running. I don't like the 1-year warranty, however, most any of these units are the same. I have a Del Longi portable in a converted garage/rec room that's twice the size of my bedroom that is over 12 years old and still cools a 650 SF space in the summer! I hope for at least half that performance of this Frigidaire...time will tell how well it performs and last in central Florida summers. NOTE on installation: Manufactures of all these portables need to come up with better window kits, not nearly enough insulation and the plastic window insert needs to be to be insulated a well. I used R-Tech Insulating Sheathing between the window kit and outside to further seal the areas that the kit will NOT protect form the Florida heat/humidity.

This was purchased to replaced another unit of a different brand we had have for years and this Frigidaire was so much better. The other unit that finally stop working we had to turn the temp to 72 to warm the room and this Frigidaire we had to put the temp on 62 because it warmed so well that 72 was extremely warm for the room. I am glad I got this brand.

The cooling capability of this unit surpassed expectations. During the heat of summer, our central air quit working, and while waiting weeks for the new one to be installed we used this portable unit to cool almost 2000 sq feet. It kept us comfortable.

Purchased just in case of a hurricane and power outage however my central A/C decided it would stop working instead due to age (over 24 years). Set up the portable A/C unit and behold, A/C. The unit has been working continuously for approx 3 weeks with no problems. It has kept me cool and comfortable during the month of August, the hottest month, until the central unit was replaced. The noise level is about what you would expect and I had to purchase a coupler and additional hose to due to the layout of my house. Even with the additional 6ft hose it still cools fantastically. I highly recommend this unit.

I was apprehensive at first to incorporate a heater/air portable unit into our small area to add coolness for a few summer months. I was totally surprised at the effectiveness of the unit. It is clean, unobtrusive and 'fairly' quiet, but most of all, it does the job it is marketed for and my family is very happy that we made the decision to go with Frigidaire brand.

I bought the 14,000 BTU AC unit for the loft above my bedroom that I use as an office. In the summer the loft is almost unbearable it becomes so hot. I had to vent the exhaust through my attic which is behind my loft because I do not have a window close by. The unit works fantastic!! I now stay nice and cool in my loft/office, as well as the fan is so quiet that clients cannot hear it running when I have them on speaker phone. Great product!!

I don't know why homes in the Seattle area don't commonly have air conditioning but this unit is great for taking off the edge. Our combined living room/dining room/kitchen open area is larger than this unit is rated for but unless the day is super hot, it does the deed...actually for our whole single level house with a few supplemental fans. Buying a second unit for the bedroom and to help overall in the home during the super hot days and it will be like having whole house air again almost. Unfortunately Home Depot is out of stock so I'll probably end up with a different unit for my second and can only hope it works this well.

We live far north in an old Victorian without central air. We use this in our large living area during the occasional heat wave. Don™™t know what™™s it™™s like to use long term but a necessity when we need it. Only downside is that it™™s heavy.

This ac is awesome, the supplemental haet (pump) is a perfect for quickly getting rid of the chills. Had the older unit it ran for 6 years without a glitch. Ran it 24X7 for climate control in an attic. I run codinsate pump for continuous drain. Ty great ac unit. Waiting for the WiFi : )

This is my first experience with the portable AC. I had high hopes since it comes from the Frigidaire brand. It ended up being a disappointment. The AC is advertised as "library quiet" but it is considerably noisy. We had to increase TV volume each time it kicked in. Even though it was by the window in the dining room and we were 15+ feet away in the living room.It is very heavy. It was hard to move up the stairs because casters make it hard to set it on stair steps. So its portability is mostly limited to one floor.The included window kit is very short. My window in the dining room is not huge, but the kit was too short for it. I had to get another aftermarket kit that fits the window, but that required changing the end-piece on the exhaust hose.It came with fins on evaporator bent right out the box. I purchased an additional PureAir filter and when I opened the back of the AC before the first use to install the filter I saw bent fins. The filter itself is $35 for a piece if open-cell foam. Not even central AC filters are that expensive.My AC has a swing function where the louvre is supposed to move up and down. It doesn't work either when I activate it from the AC's control panel or from the remote. It opens when I turn AC on but then it never moves. To close it I have to push it down. So it neither closes by itself nor swings on the brand new unit!I was hoping to use such AC to save on electricity by not having to run central AC, but there are just too many shortcomings. And initial quality is subpart and is not worth the premium Frigidaire charges.

The unit works well and is quiet. I measured the decibel reading on high from three feet away at just under 65db. The unit was easy to install and cools my 700 SF apartment well. To use the unit in AC mode you will want to vent the exhaust. The window panel kit worked well and note that the exhaust hose has a max reach of 59".

I've had the unit now for only several weeks and it seems to be working out perfectly fine as I intended to fit in while researching this along with other portable units as well, the cooling capacity plus price of the unit was the primary selling feature for me to buy. I haven't had any problems with this unit so far, basically after it shipped, got it out of the box as one piece, except I just needed to set it up and attached the heat exhaust venting, then plugged it in, turned it on, set the thermostat and all has been working great thus far. I added this portable AC to supplement my existing AC systems, to help cool a hotter area of the home getting direct sun heat radiation, with intense sun heat for several hours of the day. I haven't had a chance to use the heater function as of yet but appreciate knowing it's there and will test when the season changes, so the unit can be positioned in the home and utilized year round if needed is a plus, not needing to store the unit or let it sit idle during the winter months, the heating option keeps the unit functional year round, not requiring additional storage space to put unit away, means no off season. The unit fan noise is noticeable, especially on high speed but not alarmingly loud comparatively to other window AC units fan noise inside the home, however, after installing a ceiling fan in the area to help move the cooled air coming from the unit, helps to circulate the cooled air and minimizes the unit fan noise need by adjusting it down on a lower setting to be even quieter functioning in the home, makes using this unit in places I cannot add a window unit even better for the location I needed it to work better. I am enjoying the unit so far, just continuing to admire and monitoring how well it is working to help keep the temperature comfortable throughout the home this summer, the unit seems to be well built and if it continues to operate and provide service I would buy again. The only negative I have thus far, I did not see a color option selection available to choose at purchase to match home dÃcor. An appliance unit that can be this functional, as a heater and AC needs to have more dÃcor accessories or color options available to better blend with the dÃcor inside the home as a year round fixture, will make buying this unit a more attractive option for any room of the home, as well garages, basements and utility rooms.

Came with a broken caster. Called Frigidaire help line and they said i would have to return the entire unit to Amazon and they couldn't get me a new caster*#! Of course I had completely unpacked it before I discovered the broken caster. When I ordered it on Amazon, it wasn't clear that it came with the window kit. Would have been nice to know that at the time of ordering.

We are very satisfied with the air conditioner for our Family Room with enough cooling power to cool the adjacent Kitchen and Dining Room area as well, where our old one you had to sit right in front of it to become cool. It is also very quiet makes it easy to hear the tv nor have to shout over when having a conversation. We did a lot of research and wanted a unit that was quiet, had enough cooling power for our needs and has in home warranty service rather than having to send it off to a service center somewhere and pay shipping like some other brands require. The design of the air conditioner is very attractive. The only complaint we have is not having the exhaust hose insulated we bought a hose cover that is insulated which has resolved the room heating problem. Besides this small complaint we are really enjoying the unit on these hot days staying nice and cool inside.
