Solid equipment, large tank. unfortunattely the whole reason of purchase was to take advantage of the pump feature, which has not worked from the first day of purchase. Contacted customer support and they were very helpful and have made arrangements to replace the unit with a working model. Still waiting for the email confirmation after a week, hope to get a working unit soon.

I just had a household "appliance" mishap/ malfunction that probably caused (or will cause) lots of damage inside the house. A Frigidaire dehumidifier malfunctioned in a recently redone room (gutted and everything replaced.. walls/ floors/ etc...). The dehumidifier has automatic shutoff when the water level in the water holder goes above a certain high point, but apparently it did not work for today at least. Normally it shuts off and gives an alarm so you can empty the dehumidifier bucket.

very grateful to have this - had over 80% humidity in my house due to flooding in the crawlspace. within a few days i had pulled buckets of water out of the air. It is decent looking, relatively easy to move around with wheels and handle. The bucket is easy to manage. I haven't yet used the pump feature as i've been moving it around the house.

I have this unit in my shop (insulated steel building) and it has worked great so far. I love the auto-pump feature because I can leave the unit on, but don't need to worry about emptying the water container. This is ideal for my shop since I am not in there to check on things every day. I would buy this unit again. It has only been in use for a couple months, but no issues so far.

This unit has done a great job keeping the humidity down in our basement. It runs quietly; in the next room from my home office I hear a gentle hum through the day and will note if it is not running but am never disturbed by the loud compressor sounds people talk about with other units. Having a hose hookup that we could run to our basement sump means we never have to worry about the machine shutting off on high water level in the catch. All in all, I am completely happy with the purchase

This unit is a dehumidifier - at that it excels. This thing sucks water out of the air. The humidistat is accurate. And having three setting for airflow is very helpful. another plus - the unit does not make a lot compressor noise - only air noise. some negatives: - the water collection bucket is clunky to handle. The top hard to remove for cleaning. - the air settings is double edge sword. We run it mostly on Medium because high the fan noise is pretty high. Medium on this unit is like High on the LG unit we have. so normally Medium is adequate. - it does have a defrost cycle however this unit's version of defrost is to kick the air on high. So be prepared for that. High is pretty loud. - when the unit achieve the humidity setting goal, it turns completely off. Unlike our LG unit that keeps running (with compressor off). this may or may not bother you. It is a little distracting actually to have it cut completely off, then, spring back to life - from dead quite to whatever fan speed setting you have it on. with the LG - you have steady fan noise, albeit the LG has a lot of compressor noise. Overall - this unit is good.

The unit is pretty easy to set up and I have it located in my basement. I've utilized the tube which is included with the unit in order to pump out the water into the drain pipe where the washing machine drains out. I was skeptical at first that this would work but after a glitch it works fine. The basement is around 1200-1300 sq ft and it is an open space with not much in it. I have some water seepage when it rains (which I need to take care of) and the unit helps some.

This is the 3rd Frigidaire dehumidifier I have had in 2 years. The first one lasted 9 months and was replaced by Frigidaire so I was left with 3 months warranty, They were super easy to deal with and once I proved unit was leaking, sent me a new unit that lasted 13 months before it developed a leak..The positive side of these units are excellent at collecting moisture and collection bucket has a handle. Bucket is also very large.I am hoping that I have a unit that will ast this time because if no leaks it is a great unit

Excellent Replacement for Faulty Alternative

I purchased another brand humidifier that was smart and with a pump, but the pump stopped working after three months. I luckily bought insurance and used the manufacturer and insurance refunds to purchase this model as a replacement. It has been a seamless replacement that just works like it's supposed to. It isn't smart but I didn't really need that anyway. Would recommend!

My 850 Sq. Ft. basement is used mostly for storage and washer and dryer. When the Pacific Northwest had severe rainfall in November 2021, the basement had water creeping up through the foundation. The water subsided in a few days, but left a musty smell. I researched getting a French drain and sump pump, but felt the problem was not worth the $19,000 solution. Instead, after research, I bought this dehumidifier. It works excellently. It actually doesn't run very often, yet keeps the humidity below the 50 percent mark that I set it at. No must, no mold. With the light use, I don't have to clean the filters anywhere near as often as recommended. I use the automatic drain with a hose attached, going into the basement drain. No need to use the pump feature. So the electrical cost is minimal. With this much adequacy during normal conditions, I am sure that it will do very well during the flood conditions that the PNW experienced last year.

I live in a very damp area of Howard County, MD, an area where a dehumidifier is de rigueur for almost eight months of the year. I received my current Frigidaire machine immediately after the previous model that I had broke down. This version works mighty well. It is responsive and assumes the regulated humidity level within minutes. It is quieter and the pump works remarkably well. I could not have obtained a better machine at this price.

I previously had their 70 pint unit that worked great for approx. 3.5 years until the coils started icing up. I replaced it with this 50 pint unit and it has been operating without issue for about 1.5 years and now it is also icing up the coils.I contacted Frigidaire and they said to turn it off and unplug it for 24 hours, then restart it at a higher humidity setting and slowly lower the humidity setting until it was where I wanted it. I did this and started it at 65%, after about 12 hours it was still working OK so I lowered it to 50%. About 24 hours later I went down to lower it to my preferred range of 40-45%, but the coils were starting to ice up again. (Note, this is used in our basement and the temperature has not even been close to the lower operating limit (41 degrees) of this unit, so this should not be happening.)Nothing has changed in the past week and the environment is the same one that it operated without problem for a 1.5 years (and in which the previous one had operated for 3.5 years), so I fail to understand why this happened. Maybe they just aren't as good as they say they are (or as they have been in the past).Getting in touch with anybody to discuss this issue is an exercise in futility as the website doesn't let me click on any of the contact links to try and discuss this with someone, and their phone contacts are not very helpful in what they can do.I will need to replace this soon and will look around to see what other alternatives are out there in hopes of finding something that will provide a greater degree of longevity (like in the 3-5+ years of service range).

I™€™m loving my Frigidaire dehumidifier. We had a damp summer and our basement was pretty funky as our dehumidifier died last summer and we had not replaced it. I hated going down there. My husband and I finally decided we needed to replace the dehumidifier. After searching a lot of models, and reading a lot of reviews, we got the Frigidaire High Humidty 50 pt.
